Dr. Liang holds a B.S.E. in Computer Science from Princeton University and an M.D. from UCSF School of Medicine. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at UCSF. Dr. Liang’s clinical interests include hospital medicine, and her research interests are in implementation of machine learning tools in healthcare, clinical decision support, and data-driven quality improvement.

Dr. Maddali is a physician in the Bay Area training in pulmonary/critical care medicine, interested in utilizing machine learning techniques to augment clinical decision making within the EHR.

Fatemeh earned her Ph.D. in Bioinformatics and Systems Biology from the University of California, San Diego, building on Computer Science from her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. Her research has primarily focused on enhancing the generalizability of deep learning risk predictive models in clinical settings. Her innovations include multimodal sepsis predictive models that integrate clinical notes through large language models, significantly improving the accuracy of these models.

Bryan is interested in using informatics solutions to advance access to and execution of modern clinical trials.

Fateme completed her PhD in Biomedical Sciences at KU, Leuven.Her research focuses on applying and developing machine methods for healthcare data.

Selina is interested in combining machine learning and simulation methods to model outcomes and impacts of medical decisions.

François is an Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine physician. His research work centers on developing and evaluating computational systems that use advanced methods from statistics and machine learning to assist medical decision-making.

Ethan is an Internal Medicine physician interested in potential applications of AI/ML in healthcare and clinical decision support tools.

Rob is a hospitalist and Medical Informatics Research Fellow at the Palo Alto VA. He is interested in the evaluation and implementation of clinical decision support tools.

Dr. Marshall is a Pediatrics Infectious Diseases and Clinical Informatics Fellow with interests in antimicrobial stewardship, quality improvement, clinical informatics, and medical education.
